Houseplants selects high quality foliage and flowering plants, orchids, cacti, succulents, and some rare and unusual speciman plants.The selection varies each year. Last year there were more than 700 plants. Help will be given to match the best plant to your indoor conditions.

We offer inexpensive, tough, and easy foliage plants to brighten students' dorm rooms and apartments.

We will also feature a great variety of succulents in all forms: bromiliads with colorful leaves and flowers; a variety of different cacti; succelents twisted in fantastic shapes; and fuzzy kalanchoes.

The flowering plants will include several varieties of fragrant jasmine, both shrub and vining forms; passion flower vines; tropical hibiscus; begonias; and African violets and their relatives. For more advanced growers we will have both potted and epiphytic mounted orchids.

A large variety of tropical ferns will also be for sale, together with easy instructions on how ferns can prosper in spite of Chicago's dry radiator heating in the winter.
