Information Table
Members of the Garden Fair Committee share their experiences and expertise at the Information Table located just across the aisle from the Vegetable Department and in between the Houseplant Department and the Trees, Shrubs, and Vines Departments. The Table will be staffed from about noon on Friday, the first day of the Fair, through afternoon on Saturday, the last day of the Fair.

Questions from previous years range from "Where are the perennials? The herbs? The groundcovers?" through "What can I grow in the shade? In a window box? On a balcony? Indoors on a windowsill?" And from "Why did my flowers stop blooming last year? What was that nasty black soot on my leaves?" to "How can I keep squirrels--neighbor's dogs--neighbor's kids--out of my garden?"

No single Garden Fair Committee member can answer all questions, of course. But each of us can describe our own gardening right here in the neighborhood. We can talk about the problems we have solved and the ones we still are trying to resolve. We can tell you which Committee member knows the most about the problem or concern you describe and where that member is on the floor of the Fair. There will be information to share as well as reference books and seed and supply catalogs to look over.

If you have general questions about the Fair itself, or if you wish to join us at the next Fair as a volunteer, or if you wish to request that we try to find a specific plant or plant group for next year, the Information Table is the place to go.
